How it started
A dog, a startup, and a pitch that changed everything.
In 2013, co-founders Steven Blustein and Sean Knecht spotted a gap that nobody was talking about: brands had no good way to reach pet owners. Not with something meaningful, anyway. So they built one.
PrideBites started with a single product - a fully customizable plush dog toy - and a conviction that brands deserved better than generic promotional merchandise. Every product should be something a dog actually wants to play with, and something a pet parent actually wants to display.
Three years in, they walked onto the set of ABC's Shark Tank. They didn't just get a deal - they got two. The exposure accelerated everything: new brand partners, new product lines, and a team built around one obsession: making the process as effortless as possible for the brands they work with.
Today, PrideBites has helped over 500 brands - from local breweries to Fortune 500 companies - enter the pet category. We've shipped over a million products globally. And we're just getting started.

Steven Blustein and Sean Knecht launch PrideBites with a mission to help brands connect with pet parents through fully custom merchandise.
2015
Awarded Best Dog Toy
The Dogington Post names PrideBites "Best Dog Toy" - the first of several industry recognitions that would follow.
2016
Featured on ABC's Shark Tank
PrideBites pitches on national television and lands deals with two Sharks - accelerating growth and putting the brand in front of millions.
