Subaru And Philadelphia Union Holding Dog Adoption Fair

Subaru And Philadelphia Union Holding Dog Adoption Fair

As part of the Subaru Loves Pets campaign, the automobile manufacturer has teamed up with the Philadelphia Union football club to launch the Make a Dog’s Day Fest.

Both the Philadelphia Union and Subaru are inviting dog lovers to come to the Make a Dog’s Day Fest for several fun activities. Attendees are encouraged to BYOD, or “bring your own dog,” for Halloween-themed games and a costume contest. Owners can also have their fur babies pampered at the Dog Spa.

The fair will kick off with a one-mile Dog Dash at 10 a.m. where dogs and their pet parents compete for the Pup Cup top prize as well as one of the MVP (Most Valuable Pooch) Awards.

Guests will be provided dog-friendly and human-friendly snacks.

The highlight of the Make a Dog’s Day Fest is the dog adoption fair. Would-be dog parents will be able to meet over a hundred dogs available for adoption at Subaru Park. Subaru is covering the adoption fees, and all adoptable dogs will receive their very own Philadelphia Union and Subaru dog soccer jersey.

Since adoptions cannot happen onsite at the venue, the fair will serve as an introduction between the dogs and their would-be adopters. The adoption process must be completed at the dog’s respective pet organization or shelter before they can go to their forever home.

According to ABC30, the dog adoption fair will be held on October 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Plaza at Subaru Park, Chester, PA.

Celebrate National Make a Dog’s Day in October

For several years now, Subaru has overseen the launch of National Make a Dog’s Day. This event advocates for more people to adopt shelter dogs, especially those that have special needs.

Subaru proves it’s more than just a car company with its various initiatives for pet welfare. The brand is the largest corporate donor to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and has donated more than USD 30 million to support the wellbeing of over 250,000 animals.

Subaru is also one of PrideBites’ featured clients. In the past, we’ve partnered up with the brand to release wholesale dog toys for their pet-loving community.
