The city of Lakewood, California, will be bringing back its traditional walk-up pet event entitled Bow Wow and Meow Day this June 18, 2023. The event, a long-beloved summer staple for the local community, will be held at the northeast corner of Del Amo and Clark along Civic Center Way.
According to the Lakewood City website, the event will offer a wide array of essential pet care services at inexpensive prices, including the following:
- Anti-rabies vaccinations
- Other vaccinations for dogs and cats
- Deworming
- Fecal examinations
- Physical examinations
- Prescription products for flea control
- Diagnostic testing and other health services for purchase
- Microchipping
Event organizers will accept payment via cash, checks, and credit cards. Pet owners can also seek up-to-date, accurate information on low-cost healthcare and spaying/neutering options for their pets at the event.
For the collective safety of all event attendees, all dogs must be leashed and all cats must be contained in secure carriers while in the walk-up line.
